| Qualifications: |
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable setting targets, organizing data, and initiating a plan to structure daily schedule in order to meet departmental goals. Candidate should have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word. Experience with accounting systems is preferred and SAP experience is a plus. The right candidate will be interested in improving efficiency, be open to a continual change environment and have a strong interest in learning new systems and processes.Education / Experience:B.S. in Accounting or Finance is preferred with 1 to 2 years of professional experience.

An Indianapolis company is searching for a Collections Specialist. The candidate will work in a team environment and be assigned responsibility to a portion of the Accounts Receivable portfolio. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing customers for payment history, sales history, and risk exposure. This will be accomplished utilizing a prepared collection dashboard, review of account specific aging analysis and review of sales, billing, order and other documents held in both online systems and offline storage.The candidate will be assigned aging and cash collection goals on a quarterly basis to align their efforts with the goals of the company. Regular review and direction will be given to ensure these goals are met. Daily duties will include reviewing customer specific documents, making collection calls and investigating customer concerns. All efforts will be to drive results resolution by working with internal and external customers. The collector will make daily decisions on reasonable risk exposure related to customer sales and influence how credit limits are set through review of customer history and credit reports.
