Job Title IT Risk Manager, Sr Expected Duration 3 – 12 months Contract (With Option To Hire) Location: Plano, TX Title: Security Risk Manager Experienced with audit processed and compliance related activities. Good writing and collaboration skills Primary Responsibilities Include: In-depth understanding of security risk management, control protocols, methodologies, and practices. In-depth knowledge of firewall theory and configuration, mainframe system/application security, OSI security model, NT security, LAN/Internet/Telecommunications security protocols, and disaster recovery continuity. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic project management skills. 4 year college degree preferred in Math, Computer Science or related subject, or equivalent experience. 2 - 4 years information technology security experience. CISSP, CISA, CISM preferred. Influential on final decisions that have a direct and significant impact on information security for a business unit or the Company. Provides analysis and recommendations, and may provide consultation and/or advice. Duties and assignments are varied and complex. Works on critical security issues. Participates or leads in the strategic design process for medium to large complex security projects/systems including new systems integration, network workstation configurations, and server and operating system upgrades. Configures, evaluates, tests, implements, and certifies secure architectures, systems, and software solutions. Recommends information security policies and best practices and regulatory compliance requirements. Evaluates and ensures effective implementation, monitoring of adherence to established standards, guidelines and procedures and ensures that security requirements and regulations are met on network devices, operating systems and application controls. Works on assignments where significant judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations or decisions. Assignments require originality and ingenuity.df-jb |
