Job/Project Details: Unix Sys Admin III. This is a contract to hire. Salary range is in mid $80Ks. Main things to look for: current Sun Solaris experience (v. 9 or 10) and EMC SAN experience. Job Description: Performs installation and support for UNIX / Linux based systems including integration, backup, recovery, security, and Mid to High-Level storage and SAN administration. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support of Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux based systems. Storage volume management (Veritas / Disksuite). SAN/EMC Storage and/or Network Appliance NAS administration. Mid-level project management. Education Required: 4 year degree in computer science or related field and / or equivalent work experience. Requirements: Minimum Requirements: 7-9 years applicable experience Unix / Linux systems administration, Veritas volume management, Veritas Cluster (VCS) Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Veritas Netbackup), Mid to High-level knowledge of Sun Solaris 8 through 10. Mid to High-level knowledge of Red Hat Linux (Enterprise). 3+ years of shell and/or perl scripting for administrative purposes. Working SAN and/or NAS knowledge. EMC and Network Appliance. Excellent communication and planning skills. Ability to interface with management and business partners at all levels. Project management and team lead skills. Preferred Requirements : Solid working knowledge of two UNIX and/or Linux operating environments. Self managed with project management skills. 5 years of perl or shell scripting. Hands on SAN and NAS configuration and administration as well as working with infrastructure (Cisco MDS, Connectrix, McData). Familiarity with the Siebel CRM system on a UNIX based platform.df-jb
