GENERAL JOB FUNCTION: Trasys, Inc. has immediate, exciting opportunities for Security Engineers in Cincinnati, OH, providing after hours support. Our growing client is building out a team of Security Engineers in order to provide 24 x 7 operational coverage. These opportunities afford candidates who are passionate about security to join a new team providing best-in-class technical and operational support for a global manufacturing customer in the Cincinnati area. Must be available to work nights and weekends. These are 2nd or 3rd shift positions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as the primary contact for security related incidents. - Investigate network, server, and client issues as necessary. - Assist end users and other operations teams in malware clean up activity. - Follow incident escalation procedures as required. - Provide coverage for the call center after hours including quick and consistent call handling for any and all calls into the Security Operations Center. - Represent information security on all high priority conference calls taking place after hours. - Maintain and troubleshoot Tipping Point IPS infrastructure as needed. - Perform change management duties for the infrastructure as requested. - Provide routine firewall and web proxy change approvals following documented procedures. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED: - Minimum of 3-5 years experience in information technology - 1-3 years experience with an information security focus - General networking - TCP/IP knowledge - Experience in desktop and server operating systems and common applications - IT and/or information security certifications are beneficial - Reliable, after hours support "track record" - Documentation skills - Ability to work independently or in a team environment - Security clearance a plus - Passionate for Security - Desired Technical Background: HP Service Desk for help desk and change ticket management Tipping Point SMS management console Snort IDS Checkpoint and Cisco PIX firewalls Symantec Anti-virus IBM/ISS Desktop Proventia BlackICE KEYWORDS: Security Checkpoint PIX Firewall VPN BlackICE Snort IDS Symantec Anti-virus Network Engineer Sniffer TCP/IP Protocol LAN WAN CiscoWorks IGRP EIGRP BGP OSPF DHCP T1 DS3 Wireless Access Point Cisco ABOUT TRASYS: Trasys is where your career opportunities become our client's technical solutions.
