Essential Functions: • Leads complex projects during the design, development and implementations of systems and applications that impact multiple business areas. Projects are generally complex in nature and have a significant impact on the user areas in terms of costs and benefits. • Provides leadership to project team members during system development or enhancement activities • Provides project management leadership of complex projects; adheres to project management requirements • Prepare project management documents and ensure that documents are kept up-to-date • Leads research and development activities of a complex nature which affect multiple technologies and/or platforms. • Ensures that products fit into the existing infrastructure • Leads in the establishment and execution of a comprehensive plan for monitoring. Evaluates environment against SLA agreements. Leads in capacity planning which involves projecting future resource requirements and making recommendations. • Leads in establishing and enforcing standards • Leads in the resolution of complex hardware and software problems involving multiple products and one or more platforms. Provides expert guidance in the resolution of application and performance issues. Drives others toward resolution in a timely fashion. • Leads in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive disaster recovery plan which may include an annual exercise of the plan. • Provides advanced, second-level technical support to the Support Center in the resolution of complex problems spanning multiple products and platforms. Designs and implements long-term fixes to reduce the number of incidents. Provides leadership to other Technical Services associates • Recognizes when changes are needed and takes the lead in implementing change. • Creates estimates and time lines for scheduled tasks • May assume delegated responsibilities of IT manager

Education: • Four year degree in Computer Science preferred. • 8-10 years of experience in specialty area preferred with minimum 15 years total experience in IT-related profession. Special Skills: • Experience with WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Message Broker, CA Endevor and Harvest, Exstream Dialogue, RAD7, Wily Introscope, Compuware QALoad, and mainframe tools such as Xpediter as AbendAid. • Working knowledge of Windows, Red Hat Linux, and AIX. •Good written and oral communication skills. Recognized as an expert in multiple disciplines and supports products across multiple platforms. Supports infrastructure disciplines including the web infrastructure, application runtime environments, development, testing & debugging tools, languages, and change management. Primarily responsible for maintaining the web infrastructure consisting of IIS, WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, and WebSphere Message Broker. Other products include Exstream Dialogue, CA Endevor and Harvest, RAD7, Compuware QALoad, Wily Introscope.
