Job Title: vb.net programmer Job Duration: Contract to hire Job summary: The primary technologies used are VB.net, Oracle, and Crystal Reports. Job Responsibilities: Assists with the formulation of design specifications. Develops custom applications and modifies existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements. Handles the systems development life cycle on large size development and enhancement projects. Assists with project planning, project definition, requirements definition, analysis, design, testing, system documentation and user training. Handles coding, debugging and documentation. Develop test plans and test scripts and executes tests. May provide post-implementation and on-going production support as an on-call programmer. Performs code revisions with programmers. Job Requirements: 5-7 years development experience 3-5 years experience as a software developer in a Client/Server Applications / Application Programmer capacity using the .NET framework 3-5 years programming experience in — VB.Net and Windows Forms, VB, XML, ADO.Net SQL development with Oracle, and Pro*C 3-5 years Crystal Reports development experience (.Net version preferred) 3-5 years Oracle development experience (PL/SQL, reports, tuning, record locking, cursors, etc.) A commitment to producing top quality, well designed and flexible custom applications. Very strong programming ability, with great attention to detail and design. Demonstrated ability to design and assist in the timely delivery of high-quality software. Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills. A forward thinker with strong business sense. Dedication to a collaborative working style and the ability to work well in small teams. Willingness to participate in after-hour and on-call support.
