Job/Project Details: Looking for a Senior Web Portal / J2EE Architect to provide guidance and assistance in leading large scale development projects, deployment and support teams. Candidates should possess deep experience and a command of all aspects of enterprise architecture, specifically Web Portal / J2EE architectures. Description of Duties: ** Understand the risks for architecture at the enterprise level and devise strategies for mitigating these risks ** Devise strategies for making the inevitable trade-offs that are necessary in large architectures ** Devise strategies for addressing the challenges faced in taking large distributed architectures to production ** Understand how individual components and applications can disrupt the overall enterprise architecture ** Install and monitor Web Portal / J2EE Platform ** Develop and deploy Web Applications that use Enterprise JavaBeans and service technologies, design patterns and the Model-View-Controller design architecture ** Develop, deploy, monitor Enterprise JavaBeans on Web Portal / J2EE Server ** Work with Web applications using advanced JSP development concepts and custom tag libraries ** Build and customize fully functional, interactive Web Portals targeted at customers, business partners, and employees ** Design and develop configurable and adaptable Web applications and portlets using WebFlow and pipeline components. ** Incorporate personalization and user profile concepts to tailor and customize the appearance and content of a Web Portal ** Use the Web Portal framework to present customizable collections of Web applications created as portlets within a Web Portal ** Map the request-driven, scheduled, and user-controlled Web Portal / J2EE Integration workflow paradigms to use cases and business processes ** Use Web Portal / J2EE Integration GUI tools to define business processes and data formats, as well as conduct simple application administration ** Use events to communicate with and between business processes ** Develop sub-workflows ** Use the XML translation tools. df-jb
