Job/Project Details: Unison Systems is looking for a Lead IT Analyst to identify, document, analyze, and communicate solutions to meet the needs of a client company's business. The client is a large Denver based telecom with an advanced technological environment. Role: Participate in the definition of current and future operational scenarios and work with other IT families and client groups to translate complex business needs into IT solution requirements. This position will also play a key role in the delivery of applications, systems, and services in the agreed upon time frames following standard project management methodologies as well as conduct post-implementation analysis. The Analyst participates in estimation activities and provides leadership to the other analysts in estimation efforts. The Analyst works closely not only with our Business Partners - driving to detailed requirements, documenting them in the IT tools, but also partners with the development and test teams to help the teams understand the requirements clearly . Basic Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS or related subject area 4+ years of Business Analyst and/or IT Analyst experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing, negotiation and presentation skills Advanced analytical skills Advanced problem solving abilities Proficient with Microsoft Excel, VISIO, Word, Access and PowerPoint Demonstrated strong and positive interpersonal skills Able to interact well with individuals from all disciplines Strong team player An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to several software development life cycles in a team environment Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information. Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using modeling languages already established in the development organization.
