Business Analyst Qualifications Bachelor's degree 10 years experience in systems analysis and application development or equivalent combination Technical Skills-- Proficient in multiple programming languages Thorough knowledge of application development support software/hardware platforms Diverse technical background w/mainframe & distributed computing environments Expert analysis/resolution of complex problems Excellent understanding of vendor hardware configurations/software concepts Ability to lead/participate in technical walkthroughs --Responsibilities- Provide designs; specify information systems solutions with highest level of technical direction in development of new/existing programs to solve problems/enhancements. Act as principal application designer for critical components/major modifications, effectively using analytical skills/technical skills/available technology/tools in evaluating client requirements/processes. Provide sound technical solutions. Perform/oversee complex systems analysis/design/programming efforts. Provide high-level analytical consulting leadership to identify & implement new uses of information technologies to assist in meeting client's short-term business goals/long term strategic objectives. Confer with systems analysts/operations staff lT staff in overall systems development direction, from technical analysis to user acceptance testing. Prepare/review test data; execute detailed test plans. Perform required debugging. Evaluate/understand highly complex interrelationships & effects among programs interfacing applications/platforms.
