Job/Project Details: Unison Systems has an immediate need for a skilled Software Engineer to perform as Outcome Review Software Engineer, for our Lakewood, CO based Medical Device client. This is a 6-month Contract to Hire position, working under broad supervision with project leads. May take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project, within multiple cross-functional teams. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge required to perform at this level is generally acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in the area of Computer Science or Business. This knowledge is typically gained through 4 to 8 years of experience. Solid understanding of OOD and OOP concepts. Decent grasp of the C# syntax. Conceptual understanding of the ASP.NET framework. Familiarity with ADO.NET, .Net remoting, reflection and sql. Requires 2+ Years C# or equivalent in C++ with ability/willingness to learn C# Requires proficiency in object engineering and applications development using object oriented (OO) tools such as, Visual C++, C#, etc. Microsoft ASP.NET and applications programming in Windows environment Active Reports or other reporting engines (Crystal) Oracle, or other enterprise level database – writing queries, database design concepts Design and development experience with data processing applications, data imports/exports Requires good communications skills. Requires team-oriented attitude and vision. Requires experience with mission critical applications, preferably medical products/devices. Basic network skills, socket programming, TCPIP, UDP Experience with Application development Experience with SW Development processes Full life-cycle experience - concept to implementation Analytical skills to develop concept/architecture/design patterns Experience developing an interface with 3rd party COTs products Comfortable expressing ideas/design in front of management and peers Good communication skills Must be a team player Positive attitude – can do perspective Leadership skills and attitude RESPONSIBILITIES: As a fully contributing team member, work is significant to assigned project. Influences work group and cross-functional team members, and interacts where input and suggestions are provided. Works beyond routine nature of tasks utilizing specialized knowledge and technologies. Troubleshoots basic problems and recommends appropriate action. Uses and applies principles, concepts and techniques of a technology. Assignments include project related tasks such as report writing, planning, schedule and cost control, etc. Work on object object oriented engineering and applications development Analyzing (scientific specifications), modeling, designing, documenting, constructing and testing reusable classes of objects. Functional testing and debugging of objects, which may support domain functionality (i.e., procedures), domain graphical interface functionality, common data types, or utilities for communication, peripherals, etc. Working with object-oriented systems composed of objects that communicate with one another using explicitly defined interfaces, and OO methodologies.
