Position : Sr. IT Project Manager Location : Billerica, Billerica MA or Garland TX Start Date : 5 May, 2008 End Date : 11 August, 2008 Citizen Required Job Description We are looking for a Principal Specialist IT Project Manager to join our Enterprise Solutions Center group with Raytheon Corporate Information Technology group. This position will provide direct management of major IT projects. Follow IPDS process. Follow Software Development Methodology. Support IT Strategic planning efforts. Establish project policy, set project standards, and determine needed tools, program metrics and risk mitigation. Coordinate and maintain communication with development / user organizations. Additional duties include the following: - Manage budget/schedule - Manage project resources - Manage project utilizing EVMS - Conduct Management Reviews according to IPDS methodology guidelines - Manage / Assess Project Risk - Maintain Project Repository - Document / Review "Lessons Learned" - Facilitate project customer meetings This positioncan belocated in Billerica, MA. OR Garland TX Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Bachelors degree and 8+ years applicable work experience. - Experience leading Information Technology projects / teams - Working knowledge and experience with IT project management processes - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, management and outside vendors - IT Project Management training - Ability to use Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - Be self motivated and customer service oriented Additional Experience/Skills, considered a plus : - Minimum five years experience leading Information Technology projects / teams - Experience using formal Project Management methodologies, EVMS - Experience leading large, complex IT projects is highly desired - Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent - Project Management Certification Required Education (including degree): - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or other related technical field.df-jb |
