Job/Project Details: GENERAL JOB FUNCTION: TRASYS, Inc. is currently seeking a Network Systems Analyst for a Cincinnati, OH. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be Network Systems Analyst responsible for the Performance Improvement Initiative. The initiative involves defining and supporting a process to report on System Performance Metrics for business applications and will also involve identification and notification of application performance related issues. The position will be involved with analyzing performance metrics, identifying performance bottlenecks, and recommending solutions to improve performance. The initial focus will be on applications used among remote offices. The objective will require knowledge and experience with many technologies such as a generalist in the information technology field. Some task involved in the objective are: •statistical analysis, analyzing data and performing trend analysis •develop reports using Oracle and Cognos •monitor, analyze, and report application performance statistics •develop baselines for applications •ability to understanding application infrastructure and design •ability to develop system performance benchmarks for applications. •collaboration with many teams including network, monitoring, application development teams •schedule performance improvement meetings with business units MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED: •3-5 years in identifying and eliminating performance related issues in web applications and system platforms •3-5 years identifying and eliminating root cause defects in web applications •3-5 years improving performance and availability of applications •3-5 years experience with networking and network monitoring of applications •Experience with analysis of network utilization and protocols, monitoring tools and ability to recommend performance improvements •Experience with Database technologiesdf-jb
