| Job/Project Details: |
We are currently seeking to fill an Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i Project Manager position for our client in Schaumburg, IL. Type: Contract to Hire opportunity Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities: - Project Planning: works with the ePO Program Manager to lead the multi-phased project planning effort, including the formulation of the overall project vision, program roadmap, implementation strategy, program scope, definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones, accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates. Ensures a viable work plan is created that result in the on time completion of the projects within the program. - Project Control: Leads the development of effective plans for controlling project scope, schedule and cost baseline, and monitors the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed. Approves documentation to explain changes to the baseline, and ensures the approved changes are implemented. Monitors change control logs of all submitted change requests and their disposition / status. Ensures work is delivered within the IT framework, including delivery of project artifacts and documentation (e.g. SOPs and training materials). - Project Communications: Partners with the ePO Program Manager to develop an effective plan for communicating project information to the stakeholders (e.g. Executive Project Board). Reviews and approves written status reports and presents program review documents for senior management. Resolves or escalates project issues. Communicates status of project with the team, ePO PM, Executive Sponsor, and Governance Committee. - Project Risk and Issue Management: Leads the definition of project risks, and the required mitigation approaches. Monitors project activities for the occurrence of risks, and takes timely action to mitigate the risk. Advises project team members, stakeholders and senior management of actions required or completed. Resolves problems by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate courses of actions, providing tactical direction and, when necessary, reallocating resources. - Business Process Reengineering / Change Management: Facilitate the gathering, documenting, and maintaining of current state business process workflows following standard procedures. Identify and propose new approaches and solutions to business issues, including the ability to create future state workflows, identified through analysis of processes. Accurately gather, analyze, and interpret client business objectives and requirements and make strategic and creative recommendations for resolution, capitalizing on current and future technologies - Resource Management: Manages teams comprised of business subject matter experts (SMEs), business analysts, documentation specialists, implementation consultants, and other project leads. Ensures team members are adequately trained, and performing at the required level. Selects, develops, and motivates assigned staff. - Project Management Methods: Manage standard project management processes and templates for reporting deliverable and milestone level project status. Qualifications: - Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Five to eight years experience performing and managing accounting and audit functions - Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. - Proficient in Microsoft Applications ( Project Plan, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). - Demonstrated analytical and conceptual abilities. - Demonstrated experience in a large scale end-to-end Q2C project on the Oracle platform - Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management or equivalent experience - Detail oriented and meticulous work ethic. - Good vendor management skills - Good interpersonal skills - Good verbal and written communication skills In addition to great career opportunities, Harvey Nash is proud to offer its valued contract professionals a number of benefits including health insurance and 401(k) matching.
