Job/Project Details: InterFusion Technology is seeking Desktop Support Technicians in Sacaramento Ca. area U.S. Citizens Only Project Description: Candidates will be joining a Desk Top Support Team that will support 2-3 sites for a San Francisco based client Will involve 50-75% travel and candidate may live in support cites of Yuba City ,Reding,Marysville,Chico or Sacramento Job Description: • Ability to interface positively and productively with end users and customers on a daily basis • Installation and management of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems images - Windows /2000/XP/2003 • Diagnose & repair PCs hardware & software • MS Office support skills, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills • Understanding of installation and configuration of 3rd party software applications, desktop clients and custom applications • Configuring, installing, and supporting desktops. This includes installing hard drives, adapter cards, and memory as well as configuring and troubleshooting various printers and scanners. • Basic knowledge of LAN environments and basics of networking • Perform software and hardware updates and patches on a regular basis • Deploy and set-up new/upgraded computers for the users • Monitor an incident management (Remedy) queue and work tickets in accordance with defined Service Level Agreement priorities • Manage Wintel desktops and laptop hardware and perform and schedule all hardware maintenance • Inventory of local expendable supplies (patch cables, monitors, USB cabling, drives, etc.) and work with spares depot to ensure proper stock levels are maintained • Support backed-up data recovery on failed hard drive • New User setup/mentoring for transfer and new-hire employees • Scheduling and relocation of desktops during office remodels and relocations • Support Video Teleconferencing sessions by performing on-site equipment turn-up, fault reporting and post conference equipment turn-down REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Bachelors degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience • Experience with Wintel desktop platforms and HW/SW break-fix support in an enterprise environment DESIRED SKILLS: • Microsoft certifications • ITIL Certification or training • Dell HW maintenance certification highly desired Location:Yuba City,Redding,Marysville,Chico or Sacramento Duration: Will consider Permanent Positions Rate: Competitive Start Date; ASAP US Citizens or Permanent Residents Only .df-jb
