Qualifications:


   Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  Experience installing and maintaining OracleAS middle-tier and infrastructure, managing OracleAS
  Experience using Application Server management tools, log management, OracleAS port management, OID, SSO, OHS, Web cache and OC4J
  Thorough understanding of the architecture and components of Oracle Application Server and the OracleAS Infrastructure and deployment aptitude for web sites and applications

  Demonstrable competence in SQL, JAVA, Unix and Windows Server Operating Systems

Job/Project Details: This is your opportunity to use your experience with Oracle Application Server to become a consultant/administrator for highly complex infrastructures in one of Canada's leading gas and oil companies. Support for Oracle AS and hosted J2EE application environments and Portals is crucially imperative for the daily operation of this vital business.
  Server Administration tasks will include:

  Installation, upgrading and decommissioning of Oracle Application Server products and related client software configurations
  Support for development, QA and production systems for Application Servers / Portals / J2EE environments
  Monitoring key performance indicators and managing optimal system performance
  Maintaining system backup and recovery mechanisms and confirming archive and Disaster Recover data stores
  Agile, creative troubleshooting and analysis of system maintenance tasks, errors and outages that are often unique in nature
  Participation in ongoing sustainment activities including compliance assessments
  Working with the Team Leader and stakeholders in formulating upgrades paths, patch strategies and implementation plans
  Participation in application implementation projects that utilize J2EE architectures and direct support of those projects
  Design and maintenance of high-availability architectures
  Working closely with applications teams and Enterprise Infrastructure teams including Unix Servers, Wintel Servers, Storage, Network and Security
