Job/Project Details: This City/Govt information center answers calls from the citizens of Austin who are calling for a variety of reasons. The call center provides one location for customers/citizens to call in regards to questions and issues within the city, county and internal customers from other departments. The callers will have dialed our main number or any of the city department numbers for which we assist with calls. The representatives field calls and enter service request orders for city departments, with other departments being added periodically. These service requests may, at times, be life threatening, so attention to detail is imperative. The call center never closes. We are open every single day including weekends and holidays. The representatives who work for this Information Center are considered essential employees. This means that CIC employees need to make every attempt to be at work during times of crisis and emergencies for the city. *To qualify for this amazing opportunity you must have at least 6 months of customer service experience with at least 1 year in an inbound call center. You must also be a high school graduate or equivalent and be able to provide documentation of this before your first day of training. You may not have a felony on your record or a C misdemeanor with in the last 10 years.* If you are friendly, kindhearted, compassionate, and have concern for the citizens of Austin and want to be the person they call when they need a helping hand, you are the person we are looking for! df-jb
