Smart IT is seeking Information Technology (IT) professionals with experience in Configuration Management to perform in the role of Configuration Management Engineer for our client located in Fairfield, Ohio. Position is available on a long-term contract and/or right-to-hire agreement! During the contract period, Smart IT employees are eligible to receive insurance coverage, paid holidays and paid time off! Qualifications:Configuration Management consists of identifying, controlling, and maintaining all related building blocks of the work product and supporting of work tools used by an engineer. Items placed under Configuration Management include the products as well as all items required to create and to support the product during construction or maintenance, including changes to documentation and software. Support of work tools include learning technologies in the construction or maintenance of software and documentation. Required/Desired Skills: 2+ years experience with Release Process issues (i.e. supporting multiple versions, feature vs. corrective releases, etc.) 2+ years experience with Project Library procedures (i.e. version control, check in/check out, etc.) 2+ years experience with configuration management identification methods (i.e. schemes, re-identification, naming conventions, etc.) 2+ years experience with Configuration Management tools using source code/object code control and documentation control (i.e. SourceSafe, MKS, Documentum, etc.) 2+ years experience with Change Management process 6+ years software development experience with two or more programming languages (i.e. Java, Visual Basic, etc.) including maintainence and/or new development. 3+ years software development experience with IDEs such as JBuilder, MS Visual Studio, Eclipse 2+ years in developing, managing or administering server based systems 2+ years experience with Python, including shell/command scripts. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel and Access) Other Requirements: Candidates must complete a requirements/skills checklist as part of the application process.
