Smart IT is seeking Information Technology (IT) professionals with experience in Software Development/Programming to perform in the role of .NET (C#) Developer for our client located in Fairfield, Ohio. Position is available on a right-to-hire agreement (3 or 6 month months). During the contract period, Smart IT employees are eligible to receive insurance coverage, paid holidays and paid time off! The .NET Developers responsibilities include analysis, design, implementation and testing for a Personal Lines policy issuance software product. This position will involve conversion of a legacy system written in VB6 with a Citrix connection over to a .Net platform. This position will involve GUI design for .Net written in ASP.Net. This resource will be working closely with the business unit to ensure accuracy in data collection, display, and processing. Responsibilities Include: - Participating in GUI design and application development. - Direct interaction with business units. - Participating in all phases of the Web development life cycle. - Co-development with product vendor. Experience Required: - 3-5+ years of hands-on development experience in .NET design and development. - An understanding of the software development life cycle. - Excellent communication and team skills with the proven ability to multi-task. - Able to perform detailed troubleshooting/debugging. - Willingness to work extra hours as required by workload and deadlines. - Versatility with regards to changing priorities. - 2+ years of hands-on development experience in C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WEB SERVICES - .Net Framework / Visual Studio.Net (Development Tools) - JavaScript - Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) - Windows 98 / XP / 2000 / 2003 Server. - IIS 5.0 / IIS 6. - SQL Server 2005. Preferred: - GUI development using AJAX - Familiarity with LINQ and also TFS - XML/XSLT Other Relevant Information: Candidates must complete a requirements/skills checklist as part of the application process.
