Project Manager (6-month contract position) Our customer, a leading Internet Service Provider is looking for an experienced customer facing Project Manager with the ability to deliver multiple cross functional projects. You will be responsible for consistently managing the project lifecycle from requirements gathering and expectations setting through customer launch and monitoring. Responsibilities: • Drive project life cycle by driving trade-off decisions between cost, schedule, functional scope, and quality • Work with Partners to baseline project requirements and timing needs • Collaborate with technical staff to define requirements • Analyze customer reporting (churn, credits, customer sat, pullbacks etc) for trends and develop and implement programs to improve these metrics • Facilitate Change Management decisions and adjust assignments and expectations accordingly • Identify, organize, and resolve project issues and actively manage risk • Work proactively to navigate project through dependencies with other projects • Assist in the development and implementation of more mature technical project management processes, methods and tools Qualifications: • Multiple years of experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or Product Manager managing complex cross functional projects and service delivery cycles • Experience with a Telecommunications Carrier, MVNO, or ISP is required. • Experience with networking technologies is required • Strong desire to provide project leadership over highly challenging assignments in a startup business unit • Very strong written and verbal communication and excellent leadership skills are required • Demonstrated ability to map business requirements to appropriate functional/technical requirements • Mastery of project management principles, tools and technical document preparation, such as project plans and functional specifications is expected • Experience with all phases of software product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering is desired but not required • Experience with different project management methodologies is highly preferred • Exceptional troubleshooting, problem resolution, and customer management skills • Strong advocacy for change management principles • Direct experience with PMI or other project management toolset/certification is a plus and common office productivity tools is, of course, essential • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel; etc. • Bachelor's degree in an applicable fielddf-jb |
