GENERAL JOB FUNCTION: TRASYS, Inc. is currently seeking a for a Java Spring Developer for a 3-6 month contract in Cincinnati, OH. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: •Develop, maintain, and support production applications using Java and Spring Framework technologies •Perform senior programming assignments for diverse and complex project tasks in a UNIX environment. •Contribute to the focus and effectiveness of the development team; tracking issues to resolution, monitoring the effectiveness of tasks, and providing status to the team lead. •Develop software independently as well as under direction from other development team leads and other members of the team. •Maintain and debug existing application code. •Generate design specifications, and code to conform to specifications. •Work with project manager to define work breakdown and provides effort estimates for tasks. •Participate in design and code reviews. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED: •Candidate must be a senior-level engineer capable of working independently and in teams, and effectively prioritizing tasks and responsibilities. •Proven design, debugging, and programming skills using Java and Spring Framework technologies. •Experience using Maven, WebLogic, Hibernate and JSP. •Competent in developing accurate estimates and risk assessments •Demonstrated ability to document design and coding decisions. Qualifications •BS of Computer Science or equivalent. •Minimum six (6) years experience in software development cycle from design to programming, documentation and maintenance. •Four (4) years experience with custom application software development using Java. •Two (2) years experience using Spring Framework technologies.
