Job/Project Details: Roles and Responsibilities:

Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases. Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks  

Backup & Recovery  

Apply patches and upgrade database versions  

Install and Build database structures  

Develop and maintain shell scripts  

Query and performance tuning  

Develop and maintain documentation  

Program in PL/SQL  

Design and build new database structures  

Standard schedule will be first shift Monday through Friday with additional hours and days as required to service emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelors degree or an additional 4 years of experience lieu of degree  

Minimum of 5 years of Oracle production support DBA experience  

3 years mainframe Oracle experience  

Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design  

RMAN Familiarity  

Must be either a US Citizen or Green Card holder  

Must be able to obtain a Postal Sensitive Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Local to the RDU / Triangle area (this position does not provide relocation assistance)

Experience with RAC, Dataguard, and ASM  

Oracle certification strongly preferred
