| Job/Project Details: |
Provides remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a Wide Area Network (WAN) to include, routers, bridges, switches, Video Teleconferencing units, and VoIP systems from a Help Desk.
Will perform tests with multiple tech controls and implement scheduled upgrades to the network to include router configurations .
Requirements
Must be willing to be crossed trained on the Client and Server systems and perform remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to capture customer calls in a Trouble Ticket system.
Experience in the following areas required: CISCO routers and switches, Communications link troubleshooting and circuit outages, CSU/DSU's, and Modems.
Knowledge of Sun Server, RAID, UPS, Tape Drives, and Macintosh clients is a plus; knowledge of Bridging, TCP/IP SNMP, and Remedy a plus.
Minimum of 4 years experience directly related to this position.
Candidate must be capable of providing infrequent on-call after hours support if the need arises
Minimum of two years of experience performing network troubleshooting
Candidate must be willing to support a work schedule from 6 AM start time and a 6 PM closure time.
Your shift can be either 4 days X 10 hrs or 5 days X 8 hrs.
