| Job/Project Details: |
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Metlab and operate all lab equipment, including but not limited to; cut-off saw, specimen mounting press, grind/polish machine, micro-hardness tester and carbon analysis system. Examines and tests metal samples to determine their physical properties, under direction of Heat Treat Department Manager, by performing the following duties: " Sample preparation " Evaluating effective and total case depths " Micro hardness testing " Evaluation of microstructure " Prepare reports outlining findings and conclusions " Understanding and use of hardness testers " Evaluate test results against designated standards " Mark and catalog tested parts " Ability to read and understand engineering drawings for precision aerospace parts Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
